Supporting career journeys at every stage

The past few weeks have been a powerful reminder of why tailored career coaching matters, especially in a world that feels anything but stable.

I’ve been working closely with two very different groups of clients. On one side, I’ve supported students balancing final exams, dissertations, part-time jobs, and the stress of stepping into the unknown world of graduate employment. Their resilience is incredible. It’s easy to underestimate just how much pressure they’re under, but this transition — from student to professional— is one of the biggest shifts they’ll face. The mental load is real, and it takes strength to stay focused, optimistic, and ready for the next step.

At the same time, I’ve been working with clients already in established roles — people who are questioning what’s next. Some feel disconnected from their current companies. Others are unsure about the brands they’d love to work with or how to openly admit that something doesn’t feel quite right anymore. These conversations are deeply personal. Saying, “I want something different” can be difficult, especially when you’re surrounded by peers who seem content or when you’re unsure what “different” even looks like.

What’s clear from both groups is this: the world is complex, and the career landscape can feel overwhelming. But the need to find work that feels meaningful, aligned with personal values, and energising is universal. Whether someone is just starting out or years into their career, the desire for clarity, purpose, and fit is the same.

One thing I remind every client: your CV is more than a list of skills or job titles. It’s your story. And like any good storybook, there are chapters that flow smoothly and others that are harder to navigate – challenging, confusing, even dark at times. But no matter where you are in the book, there’s always the possibility of progress, of joy returning, and of writing the next part with intention and pride.

We are each our own story, and that story matters. You’re not meant to be a copy of someone else. If we needed clones in the world of work, it would look very different indeed. What makes you you – the quirks, the strengths, even the struggles – is what makes you a unique and valuable candidate.

Career coaching isn’t just about next steps. It’s about helping people reconnect with who they are, what they want, and how they can show up in the world with clarity. Whether you’re navigating your first job search or reassessing your place in a company, you deserve support that sees you, not just your CV.
